Wisconsin Vets Day Incorporated

WVDI?  What is it?  Wisconsin Vet's Day, Inc.
A new non-for-profit Corporation formed to help our Military/Veterans.
As you know funding for veteran services is on the decline, some say because our
Veteran population is also on the decline.
The point being our hospitalized vets still receive the best medical care available and their basic needs addressed, but, little else.

What WE propose is an annual event to include a cookout, games, and entertainment, but, most important it is a
chance for the Veterans to socialize and have conversation with New Friends.
This event will be held at the Veterans Home in Union Grove, WI.  All Veterans at this facility are invited to attend, and the
hospitalized Vets who are unwilling or unable to make it outside have their own meals and other items delivered to their wards.
With the help and dedication of several volunteers, wheelchair and bed ridden patients do attend outdoor activities.

Donations received for Vet's Day not only fund the annual event, but support Veterans all year long.  Examples being, but,
not limited to: recreational (movies, theater, bowling, etc.), educational (arts and crafts), hospice care (support for visiting out
of town relatives), replacement of worn out TV's and VCR's in the dayrooms and on and on.  We consult the hospital to find out
what our Vets need and we do our best to supply it. Your support as a volunteer or your donations assist
us in accomplishing our mission to provide the finest support possible for the benefit of our Veterans and their families who reside
at, or are visiting, the Veterans Home in Union Grove, WI. which is located between Milwaukee and Chicago.

The success of this annual event depends on the generosity of the Corporate and business community, in addition to the help
and financial support of Veteran’s organizations, and community service groups and special individuals.
We ask that you be as generous as possible.
With your help this has become the largest event of it's kind in the State of Wisconsin.  Last, but not least, you or a
representative has a standing invitation to join us on the day of the event.

America is #1
Thanks to our Veterans
