We still need help with this. We are
not getting a lot of support so far with this fundraiser.
However, so far, The Iowa Speedway
has made a donation. And Tone's Spices has made contribution as well.

Hi everyone! I will be selling the
remainder of the Veterans for a Change children’s
workbook at the 20th Anniversary UAW
Region 4 Veterans Conference this spring.
I have enclosed an order form for those
who would like to order now. This in a one time special,
so order your copy soon or pick one
up this spring at the conference. I only have
140 books left, once they are gone,
they are gone. Donate books to K-8 school or class in
teaching children the meaning of Veterans.
Children are our Nations most precious natural resources.
Educators with 100 years of teaching
experience have compiled a workbook full
of ideas to promote patriotism and
service to others.
THANKS!!

Our
seventh annual Vets Day BBQ at Manteno Veterans Home was another huge success,
thanks to the participation
of
128 volunteers from five states including, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota
and Wisconsin. A Special thanks goes
out
to Country Roads band and DJ Sound Connection, who donated their time and
played music for our Vets.
All
money raised above the cost of the barbeque goes to the Veterans Wish List
and funds that directly benefit the Veterans of the Home.
