The William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital is a highly affiliated acute care facility providing
comprehensive tertiary care in medicine, surgery, neurology, and psychiatry. Approximately 840 professional,
administrative, and support personnel provide the widest range of services to the more
than 14,000 veterans treated annually, either as inpatients or outpatients.

The Tomah VAMC is situated on 173 acres, consists of eight patient care buildings, and provides care in general medicine,
psychiatry, and rehabiltation medicine. The facility also offers PTSD and drug/alcohol treatment programs, a ventilator-dependent unit,
long-term care, and nursing home care. Outpatient programs include a mental hygiene clinic and day treatment center, and a rural outreach program.
The beautifully landscaped medical center grounds encompass a nine-hole golf course and driving range, tennis court, football field, picnic area, and fish pond.
